wait, you shall.
3:06 PM

here's how it went down, what it felt like in the very least:

E&T: like a cool breeze on a hot bornean aftenoon.
L: what mcdonalds coffee is to kopi luwak.
C&A: rush of blood to the head.
I: brain haemorrhage.

picture driving on a smooth malaysian road (if there was such a thing) on a four mile journey. the first is plain beautiful. not perfect, but hey, it could be worse.
then you hit the second mile. everything's peachy. until you run over a tough iron nail. it gets lodged in one wheel. but you push on.
coming into the third mile, you find yourself feeling the nail affecting the fluid motion of your vehicle. at the back of your mind you realize the punctured tyre is slowly losing pressure. but you know there's no stopping this journey. there is that final leg to complete.
as the nail sinks deeper, you find yourself feeling as though the potholes are getting larger, the rempits getting dumber and the journey much bumpier. it becomes uncomfortable, verging on being unbearable.
you reach your destination sans the feeling you hoped you'd have arrived to when you started that first mile of that journey. you curse that nail for breaking your momentum, for reaching your destination not with a smile on your face, but with a little frustration, a hint of disappointment and a touch of well, sadness.
having come to the realisation that that journey has in fact ended, you await for what is to come in the road/s ahead, with trepidation.

oh bite me. closure will be had in a little more than a month's time.

this newfound freedom i have now is a shock to the system. sort of.
i am watching the telly in the morning. something i have not done in.... goodness, i can't even remember. tv as in real tv. not anderson cooper or larry king.
among the shows i have been acquainting myself with- among others- is AI. i'd rather acronymize it to beat the cheesiness of it all. anyways... this season, was amazing; made possible of course by one insecure, guyliner-ed, tight-leather-pants clad phenomenon with the maddest vocal chops ever. he surpasses david cook in leaps and bounds, be it in his abilities, his creativity and his humility. he didn't need the stage. which is probably why he didn't win AI. here's why the other chap was more deserving:

knew what he was up against, but he brought it on. everytime.
a true musician. plays from the heart.
always a pleasant surprise.
worked his ass off.

for once, i am not embarassed to say i watched the show.
