riddle me this:
what bites you harder in the ass than procrastinating then coming THIS CLOSE to missing a deadline/s?

not procrastinating, having planned your everydays for the weeks to come, only to discover yet again that there arent enough hours in a day to have everything done.

this week wasn't too shabby. it broke the monotonous schedule of lectures and tutes with a visit to parliament- mmhmm...a perempuan melayu dari singapura was seated in the malaysian parliament. digest that. lol. i changed into my suit-one of the perks/downsides (however you see it) of reading law, and walked with DPK to the rojak stand not far from campus. shared a plate of fried stuff doused in a nutty/sweet sauce, watched dirga make a celebrity of the machaa and made the walk back to taylors feeling bloated.

he cam-whores like a girl...haha

the carnage....!

withdrawal symptoms

the drive to parliament was quicker than i thought it'd be. having thought initially that it was a stone's throw from the beautifully-wonderful-work-of-art/shopping-haven that can only be KLCC, i thought, that should it happen that they decided to kick me out for not wearing a tudung, i'd drag a girl or two plus one of the double-D's and make a beeline for the towers. alas, they let me in, and i had the task of translating whatever lara couldnt make out... i.e. everything. how was i to know what a sceptre was in malay???? anywhos, the gathering in the afternoon was in fact dull- sans the occasionally uncivilized and often unintelligent bickering, the only highlight being the entry of khairy whats-his-name (the prime minister's son-in-law) whose smug expression made it clear that it was not only meant for the cameras. hardly anything was heard from him, save the merely audible gesture of disapproval at an MP's disrespect at not shutting up when told to. the rest of the time, he sat in his chair, wondering what to do with his macbook pro. minutes later, rafidah aziz strolled in, beaming, providing us with proof that the camera does in fact add ten pounds on you. but the one who caught my attention without even trying to was the wife of anuar ibrahim, dressed modestly, minding her own business, making an exit half an hour later. listening to the exchange of words in the dewan made me notice how redundant, unproductive and irritatingly useless the proceedings were. one of the fellas seated in front of us was on msn and i could have sworn i saw a gaffer on facebook. got home a tad grumpy; my feet hurt. my aunt and uncle dropped by from singapore for a visit, that was nice.

also, people from the selangor bar council dropped by today to give us a sneak peak of what's to come should we decide to practice law after slaving through it. for those of you who've known me long enough, you'd recall that i never did carry with me the intention to practice law upon walking into law school. that, might change...hmm... watch this space.
