the wait is over
12:26 PM

at long fricking last, the horribly unreliable web portal they call RISIS posted the results of Part 1 of the LLB program at the University of Reading.

it took them long enough. i'd bet you anything, while we chewed our nails waiting by our monitors with our index finger armed and ready on the mouse, those gaffers at Reading were happily sipping their cups of earl grey and wolfing down their scones, not the least bit concerned that we, who were waiting at the other end of this earth, were on the verge of losing it.

anyways. i did alright... i suppose. passed like i wanted to, but i am kicking my own behind for not ever getting a C for crime. honest to god! it was irritating enough the first time round. final tally- BBBCD. not too bad, but could have been way better.... borrowing the words of one famous fella : i'm going to 'work like a dog' next year.

right now, i'm a postage stamp away from an attachment in either legal aid or petronas, or both if i am lucky. accompanying me would be lara dawn, and hopefully shaun, should he choose the 'no-pay' legal aid. i do hope more would come to the centre. i was told by a very reliable source...lol... that legal aid would provide an excellent experience for would be lawyers. one gets to go to court, the prison- this includes talking to the cons, and pop in for a visit to several NGO's.
NB: sounds better than a day spent by the xerox machine if you ask me.

apart from that, or in the meantime, i shall be getting to work, helping my neighbourhood mosque back in the island republic to write and translate some of their newsletters. going for a hip, chic new look. lolz. this ought to be interesting.

zili told me he'd be on his way back to muar tomorrow. i love how johorians call it muor. i suppose i am part johorian. my grandmother's grandparents, who came from china, set foot in johor before coming to singapore. anyways, have fun tzl. if only blogspot allowed that famous emoticon of yours. i'd have magnified it besar besar for the world to see. lol.

a beautiful day spent would include a few good hours of anna karenina coupled with a serving of stevie wonder, a touch of tony bennet, a generous helping of john mayer, a dash of ella fitzgerald, a drizzle of jack johnson, a hint of chris botti, and essentially, a topping of billy holiday.

i should have been born half a century ago.

happy holidays, my dear sharks (:
